Your library

Your library lives at /app. It shows the apps you have been granted, and nothing else. If someone else on the instance has access to something you do not, you will not see it at all.

The library, grouped by source, with a cover tile for every app you have been granted.

What is in here

Apps come in three kinds and you can filter by them:

• Games, launched directly.
• Desktops, a full desktop session rather than a single title.
• Launchers, which open a storefront client such as Steam and let you pick from there.

Artwork comes from SteamGridDB if your administrator has configured a key. If not, tiles render as gradient panels. It is cosmetic either way.

Favourites

The heart on a tile pins it. Favourites surface first, which is worth doing if your catalog is large.

Choosing quality

Before you launch you can pick a quality tier: a resolution and frame rate pair such as 1080p60 or 1440p120. Twelve tiers ship by default, from 720p60 up to 4K120, and 1080p60 is the recommended starting point.

What you pick is a preference, not a command. Each tier is an ordered list of encoder settings, and the server takes the first one that works for your particular situation:

1. Your GPU host has to be able to encode it.
2. Your browser has to be able to decode it. Quasar measures this when you log in, so it already knows.
3. If a codec has failed for you before, it gets skipped.

Every tier ends in an H.264 rung, which every browser can decode. That is the guaranteed floor, so a launch never fails purely because nothing was playable.

The practical consequence is that asking for 4K120 on a machine that cannot manage it gets you the best rung it can manage, not an error.

Set it once

Account, Stream quality lets you set a default tier so you are not choosing every time. Your administrator may have set an instance default, and may have locked it.

Why something might not launch

What you see	What it means
No host available	Nothing in the fleet is online. This is for your administrator.
Capacity exhausted	Hosts are up but full. Wait for someone to finish and try again.
Session limit reached	You already have as many sessions running as your account allows.
Already running	You have a live session of this same app. Only one at a time, because your save files cannot have two writers.
Not entitled	You do not have access to this app. Ask your administrator.

Steam

If your administrator has enabled the Steam library, games already installed in the Steam container appear as their own launchable tiles rather than making you go through the Steam client every time.

This is filesystem discovery of what is installed, not a sync of everything you own. A game you own but have not installed will not appear. Install it once through the Steam launcher app and it shows up on the next scan.
